I find it fascinating that the reason there's so little information on the skinwalker (yee naaldlooshii) is because the individuals that have knowledge of them believe in them and fear retribution.

The writer in me loves the idea. Supernatural evil exists, but it hides among reservations where few outsiders travel and no insider will give up its secrets. It's a script that almost writes itself, the outsider looking to do an expos on the supernatural and who finds more than they bargained for. On a more human level though, I respect the wishes of Navajo people (and others) who do not wish to have their cultural beliefs exploited.
