I don't think they need to stop even though I 100% do not find it amusing, and almost always makes me like a character less. However, this is something that has changed as I've gotten older. It's fiction, and we don't necessarily need to clean up our fiction as long as everyone knows that it's not okay in real life and it's not something to aspire to. That mirrors my attitude pretty well. I don't like it, but I don't think I should have the right to tell them no, you can't write your fictional characters this way. edit: with one caveat... if it crosses into actual sexual assault or involves children the act should be framed as morally wrong and condemned within the narrative of the show.
