So Trump is actually a plaintiff in a RICO suit (yes I laughed too) in the Southern District of Florida against Hillary Clinton and involving like half of Washington D.C. (including James Comey, Fusion GPS, the DNC, Peter Strzok [the FBI agent who texted meanie things about Trump to his gf], Former Trump Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, etc.) because apparently they conspired to make it look like his campaign was in bed with Russia :o and the judge recently dismissed the case with prejudice, but now comes Alina Habba's psychotic appellate filing: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ca11.80225/gov.uscourts.ca11.80225.131.0.pdf

If is a great piece of unintentionally comedic writing, but unless you have a lot of time on your hands I don't recommend spending too long on it since this will wither and die like a Republican bid for Speaker of the House.

It's being covered at AboveTheLaw if you want an easily digestible summary of the hilarity. https://abovethelaw.com/2024/02/trump-appeals-dismissal-of-rico-trollsuit-against-hillary-clinton-on-grounds-of-mean-judge/
The only thing that piqued my interest was the bit about the motion to disqualify. Now that was fucking hilarious. If calling a spade a spade warranted disqualification, the majority of judges, if not all of them, would be disqualified in criminal trials because sentencing necessarily requires the judge to explain the justification for the sentence, which frequently amounts to using a lot of words to convey that the defendant is a piece of shit.
