The mentality of grinding until ur 65 only to enjoy at best about 10 years of your life work free, have your investments pay for ur nursing home and then you die, I think is not the optimal way to live your life. Do invest, do save for retirement, buy if you really want something just go for it. Go on that trip, make priceless memories for you and your kids. I rather be broke at 70 and living off social security lol nowing I gave my kids an amazing upbringing and memories to cherish and even pass down, than to live to 80 with a ton of money, but have lived more frugal than I would have wanted. ...
