I played as Tifa most of the time when I could, liked her more than Cloud! By necessity you really gotta learn Cloud though just for consistency.

Didn't like playing the rest of them as much, we'll see if Rebirth maybe makes them a bit more involved.

I think the only other time I liked/tried to main a character other than the MC in an action RPG was Guy in Abyss, but he was basically just Lloyd so that's kind of cheating.
