Why should there be some made up limit for temperature that isn't true anyways? 0-100 is just as arbitary, 50F isn't 50% hotness at all. And 25F isn't half as hot as 50F either. Please take a look at how Fahrenheit and Celcius were defined at first, before you call any of them "cartoonish arbitrary".
