The thing that's always crazy to think about to me is there are so many people involved in making a Hollywood movie and with a movie like this so many of them had to have realized that the thing they were making sucked ass but they had to soldier on anyway. I guess at some point it's just a paycheck.

Everyone in Hollywood is tripping over themselves for some big break and a few of them have that "throw shit at the wall and see what sticks" mentality. That includes writers, directors, and actors. Even if a movie sucks, sometimes individual components can be recognized as excellent. Like I don't think the makeup & hairstyle crew from Ayer's Suicide Squad care that the movie sucked. Everyone has a reason to try and do their best in a movie.

Of course all the best acting, directing, and cinematography in the world can't fix a shitty script.
