It's not a bad game. The best way to describe it would be if a different company tried making "Skyrim in space" back in 2012-2014 and it didn't get released until 2023.

It's a 7/10 at best and just fails to deliver on almost everything promised. It lacks the freedom and exploration-driven gameplay of other Bethesda RPGs and has zero charm whatsoever. With the exception of three or four locations almost every moment in the game feels samey and recycled.
