Those can tie in with political beliefs, so it's important to actually dig into those questions just to be sure.

I won't have an issue with a person who thinks corporate income tax should be lower or whatever. That's a political believe that doesn't matter for a relationship at all.

But if their conservative belief is that they think that the govt shouldn't have a social welfare system or they have various conspiracy beliefs (which applies for the left as well), then that's different.

People are generally using politics as a proxy for certain beliefs, but if you're going to attempt a relationship it's best to actually ask and assess specific beliefs and come to a conclusion based on that, instead of assuming based on what they say their political party is.

There are also some things where it's just kinda clear that it would lead to differing values.
Like, I think voting for Trump in 2024 does imply negative things that I wouldn't value in a partner.

Yeah there is definitely overlap, especially on the extreme ends. The majority of people however are more moderate and share more values than you would expect, I wouldnt totally write someone off just because of their political party.
