To be fair, it's not that Apple would "restrict" features. It's that those features literally weren't available on non-iOS devices, so in order for the two to communicate, they had to be disabled when texting said devices. It's like if you use Skype to call somebody's landline. The point is that Apple was willing to still allow the two to communicate, whereas Google's goal with RCS is to remove SMS completely and force everybody to use RCS, which relies on Google's servers. --- Seplito Nash, Smelling Like the Vault since 1996 Step FOUR!
