I wonder how realistic an expectation it would be to have the yellow paint as an optional toggle, so people who want/need it can turn it on and have it applied to climbable surfaces, and people who don't can just turn it off. I agree it would have been better to be able to turn it off, but I also understand not thinking such a toggle needs to exist, and that people that don't like it should be able to just...
