Most health benefit circumcision gives is practically null and void when you live in a first world country with easy access to water and hygiene. I will say, the only continent I know of that actually benefits from circumcision is probably the city areas of Africa where hygiene and water access is a luxury. For first world countries like the US, circumcision is primarily a cosmetic thing which should be a choice and not something to take bodily autonomy away from a person. And I say this as someone who is circumcised because my parents were first generations immigrants and had no idea what it meant other than the doctor telling them "it will make the baby cleaner and healthier".Which is unironically what a lot of cultures that practice FGM believe, only applied at an older age.
