I'd prefer this either as an instrumental or if they raised the volume of the vocals so that the singer doesn't get so lost in the sound. Complete agreement. Thinking on it, it reminds me of R.E.M's Monster album where it's just fuzzy. Where it would be nicer if the sound mixing was better and the vocals didn't get lost in the wall of sound. Like those topics or videos or essays on how the 'loudness' of a lot of CDs/song releases at the time where everything is turned towards maximum volume, which ends up causing everything to blend and blur. Though I can't find any trace of anything called The Art of Solemn Enmity, so I'm guessing it's an oddly typo'd title. That's on me. It's the right link and right song, but I've continually mistyped and misthought the title since I started. I know I corrected it a few times early on, and it's Sombre on my main sheet, but I haven't even noticed I keep putting Solemn down everywhere else.
