"I don't care about the laws of the country I live in that I have to obey. I don't care about my pay or taxes. I don't care about my rights or the rights of others. I don't care what healthcare myself or others have access to or how much it costs. I don't care who we go to war with or why. I don't care about the homeless. I don't care if I own my own property. I don't care about the police or corruption. I don't care about immigration or the border. I don't care about roads or infastructure. I don't care what food I can buy or if the water is safe to drink. I don't care about the education or safety of my own kids."

It all comes down to politics.

'I don't care about politics' = 'I'm massively sheltered and entitled."

People just don't have the balls to say something if they feel it might make someone else uncomfortable so they pretend they don't care about virtually every aspect of their own lives

You can have opinions on things, and your own personal set of morals and beliefs, and still not have any idea whatsoever where they fit in politically.

Like for me, I can tell someone my opinion on taxes -- and someone can then tell me thats a liberal idea, or that its a conservative idea...or that its a communist idea, or a socialist idea...or a whatever idea. The results the same, I just shrug.

People really don't realize that everything is politics. I understand that it feels distant and nebulous, some asshole signing some paper in an office you've never seen, but people live and die on that shit every single day.

I think it's a matter of perception. Is the glass half empty, or half full. I have opinions on things. You might view those opinions from a political lens. But to me, they're just my opinions on stuff I care about.

Something is only political if you make it political. Everything can be political. Or nothing can be political. Depends upon the eye of the beholder.
