I've only seen fifteen of the contenders and they range from some that I hated to some that I loved. A Place Further than the Universe is my favorite from among them. You shouldn't worry too much about recency bias, either. I've had two new anime enter my personal top 10 so far this year (Dark Gathering and Insomniacs After School). Sometimes that's just how it goes. While I've definitely cooled on some shows a little bit after watching them, it's never happened with one I truly loved.
