This fatality takes an unexpected turn. Lifting the opponent up in a tornado makes sense for the wind god, then he whips out a crossbow and pops a cap in them! Sometimes taking the silly approach pays off, and it makes this fatality more memorable than it may have been had it stuck to something more conventional.

In the first game, Raiden only shocked his opponents head, but this time he goes for the full body approach. I like the sound effects of the opponents bones falling to the ground after theyve exploded.

418. Triple Punch Decapitation (Johnny Cage, MK2)

It doesnt make any sense that the opponents head regrows when Johnny punches them, but its funny, and it originated from a glitch. This has the kind of charm you dont see very often from modern gaming, which is more polished and professional. It symbolises a different era of gaming in that sense.

As stated earlier, the SNES version of Mortal Kombat was censored, which meant the Spine Rip was a no go. However, not all the censored fatalities were bad. This is an alternative fatality where the opponent is still killed, just in a less gruesome way. I like Sub Zero flipping back and forth. Its not necessary, but it does liven up proceedings and make it a bit more exciting.

The ultimate overkill fatality. Nothing says you win like an earth-shattering kaboom! Smoke claims this victory in the name of the Cyber Initiative, isnt that lovely? I can almost overlook that the entire planet and everyone on it needs to be restored in time for the next battle. Almost.
