My post wasn't really a response to yours, but to answer anyway, I think context matters. Someone into cuckolding being a cuck is similar to someone into anthropomorphic animals (for lack of a better description) being a furry. It's just a name to describe someone with a certain fetish. Obviously, people using in such a negative context and as an insult are wrong.
