As someone whose games will never get an award, I'm cool with sitting back and enjoying my jade. I'm also glad I'm not one of those devs, directors, or big wigs who has decided to tie their self worth to an awards show. It's interesting though that Nintendo says it was a business strategy to go for the award show. They've clearly gotten many awards in the past, but I guess they didn't care until there was business value. That's why they're talking about the Nintendo big wigs.
