| LightningStrikes 11/14/23 1:24:22 PM #352: | Skyward Sword is a really good game that kind of gets unfairly dunked on because it is generally seen as the weakest 3D Zelda (I agree but that is a very high bar), was the entry before Breath of the Wild and released at a time of relative weakness for Nintendo. However in seriousness I think BotW was really just adapting its concepts to an open design not rejecting it. And then TotK shows you can have those amazing linear experiences and set pieces in an open space. I dont think theres a tension between the old style and the new style, I think they can absolutely work as one.
On a totally different note thinking about Nest Performance, just randomly found out that FFXVI and Alan Wake II have the same performance director.
