And it's because it does that revolutionary thing the Illumination Mario Bros. movie and Netflix One Piece did: Respecting the fans and source material. A very simple lesson that Hollywood has had trouble getting through its head for some reason up until recently. The reviews say that it's no masterpiece or anything, but the respect for the series is clear. I'm really hoping that we're entering a period of actual good, faithful adaptations. I can't even begin to imagine how many games there are that would make for great movies if put in the hands of someone competent. I'd love to see the Bioshock movie get uncancelled.
