To add to this, I went back to my old workplace a few weeks ago. I was remembered and greeted warmly. But I hadn't spoken to any of them since my departure. This was the first time we'd interacted in nearly 4 years. You can enjoy working and interacting with someone without feeling the need to socialize with them outside work.
