Railing against direct democracy is certainly the new tactic from central programming. Regardless of how you feel about direct democracies, don't let them try to make it a theoretical debate. None of their arguments against direct democracies in general apply to what happened in Ohio. It was practical, efficient, happened during the regularly scheduled general election. They're only argument against the ballot referendums is that they didn't get their desired outcome. Republicans will abandon democracy before they abandon conservative ideals.
