Pre-Jill Stein, I always thought the US Green Party should focus on House, state and local races first. Build up a cohort that's governed and passed some legislation and then shoot for Senate and POTUS.

Might also have more like-minded people to work with in Congress, if they did that nationwide.

As it stands today under Jill Stein, it seems IMO like the Greens in the US are a de facto Kremlin franchise, so anything they can do to pave the way for Trump just seems to make sense.

I'll consider that a well-like local politician could actually win with the Green Party, but I feel like they would end up siding with Democrat like 95% or more of the time anyways, though presumably not thinking Democrats go far enough with environmental issues. But then if the Green Party actually grows, it splinters way more votes from the Democratic Party than the Republican Party, thus handing future foreseeable elections to Republicans and speed-running the planet closer to being non-viable. So even before 2016, the party really never made that much sense to me.

If she really is letting Putin play her like that, the Green Party is far more corrupt than they could ever paint the Democratic Party to be. What the fuck has Putin done to show he cares about the environment? Threaten nuclear war without somehow ending up in a nuclear holocaust?
