His radicalization made a lot of sense to me, he was an incredibly naive kid who didn't get to go to school like everyone else - because he was being tortured by the school admin of non-supes no less. To see him led astray by other college kid supes having fun for once then leading him into the supremacist rally to radicalize him works.
Where Emma's involved though is definitely off. Even to begin with him meeting the other college kids by leaving the apartment Emma specifically ordered him not to was a bit too childish and didn't really mesh with him just breaking out from a super secret evil testing facility.
It's definitely not likeable for him to turn on Emma, although on the other hand they'd only really know each other for like 2 days.
