Jey finally gets Jimmy to leave the Bloodline with him earlier this year, Jey gets a title shot because he became the first person to pin Roman in god knows how long during that tag match, then Jimmy turns on Jey and rejoins the Bloodline for... what reason, exactly? It genuinely feels like they're just stalling until WM40, throwing random shit at the wall to bide time and keeping Roman himself off of TV except when they need a ratings spike. Then lord only knows what would happen if they actually get The Rock to come in for that big money match at WM40. They won't (at least I would hope not) have Rocky be the one to dethrone Roman, so then he might hold it until WM41 at that point.

WWE has this really fucked up mentality that only WrestleMania matters. And if an injury occurs on the road to WrestleMania or Royal rumble, they can just shelve the idea until next year and stall.

Meanwhile, aew will run credible title matches whenever they want. Even on TV. The title might not change hands but there's still title matches and they're not months apart.
