That's the crux of this whole issue. Masturbation is safe, healthy, and natural but, as with all things in life, there are still harmful ways to engage in it and the risk of doing it excessively. That is, unfortunately, what a lot of people have done, especially young men. It starts to crossover into porn addiction and interfere with real interpersonal relationships (or lack thereof), causing problems for people who actually could benefit from some intervention into their habits. It just should come from a qualified mental health professional and not online ideologues and memes.
