Some people cant handle pain well and having something wrong causes them added anxiety/stress over it too. Seeing your primary usually just takes way too long imo, but instead of the ER people could try stuff like Urgent Care first I guess Right, I wasn't going to mention urgent care, but that is the appropriate middle ground for something that isn't life threatening but also can't wait for an appointment.
