Internal logic has to hold up, so yes, if something is said to reflect off the moon and affect the whole world we are right to remind the writer that the moon isnt visible to the entire world at any given time. Unless in-story its specified that the world is indeed flat (not the case) or that the light is bouncing off mirrors to travel around the world (also not the case). There are cases where a story can rightly ignore real world logic and the answer really is its magic. Like why Amaterasus flames are so intense yet dont burn someone unless they make direct contact.
