I never did finish it, but I didn't hate what I did see like I thought I would because of all the bad talk of it. Judau is very likeable. I even laughed at some of the slapsticky parts.

You're not weird. I love Zeta but 0079 was better. I loved Amuro's progression of piloting the Gundam and then coming to the realization that the Gundam's performance couldn't handle him. Plus I love Char and Amuro's rivalry.

Zeta was great but I still love 0079 more.

79 will always be my favorite for some reason despite its issues. I love the mobile suit designs, the corny soundtrack, and Amuro's journey and rivalry with Char. I think it's overall simple story helps it. Some Gundam shows can have parts that get a little too convoluted and contrived, at least to me. I mean, it's the one that gets ripped offed all the time so that should say something. That's a minor issue with Zeta for me. There's too many similarities in the story/characters. I know there's a theme of things being cyclical, but there's too much of it.
