I can chime in with my experience that I feel one of the reasons I just don't give men much of a thought in terms of attraction is for the same reason Daff has mentioned.

I find men have fewer of the qualities I like, particularly when it comes to emotional support.

And it's not that I think men are incapable of that. I did have a very close work friend who was a guy who, in another life, in another timeline, I could be attracted to, because he and I had some nice and frank discussions about our lives, and we liked a lot of the same things, too. I even called him my "work husband", and he has a wife and a couple of kids.

Are you somewhat bisexual/pansexual then? I don't give men much thought because I am simply not into them like that. However, I have quite a few male friends who are very open emotionally, so if I was into men, I would be able to find plenty of worthwhile ones.
