codey 09/26/23 2:23:51 PM #6:	Schools have been overstepping their bounds with regard to dress codes for years. Even ignoring the race, it's extremely problematic that the school district can just decide that because you're a boy you can't have long hair. In high school our football coach tried to make us all cut our hair "for safety" because he lied and said helmets wouldn't fit right but everyone basically refused to do it and he backed down. Still, we had awful policies like no "extreme" hairstyles with no guidance on what that actually meant, so if a kid came to school with a little buzzcut mohawk they could send him to the front office and make him buzz the rest of it off too. --- *runs out of topic naked* <cite>codey posted [p:976318652] in TX school ...
