I've never been a huge Sufjan fan, but he's undoubtedly a talented guy and there are lots of things on this album that I really like (alongside a fair few that I don't). Will do my best to remember to re-listen this week, will be nostalgic for me to revisit this!

Some thoughts on my nominations:

I always try to bring new types of music to these topics, and I don't recall seeing much soul/R&B yet. I've nominated three modern classics to choose from - each of them are beloved and iconic in their own ways, and I think any could stimulate some great discussion. The Weeknd's House of Balloons kickstarted an entire sonic movement and is stacked to the ceiling with anthems, FKA Twigs' Magdalene is one of the most creative, impassioned and impeccably produced albums ever, and Frank Ocean's entrancing and heartbreaking Blonde is probably the single most adored soul record of the century. Frankly, you should listen to all of them!
