Not sure if true but saw a article on yahoo while at work stating Obama did once say he'd be fine with having someone be a stand in president for him and him tell them what to say over a earpiece.

If his wife did become president surely he'd have some influence.

He did say that, but in the context it was obviously a bit tongue in cheek.
