What made Craig great was that the show was largely off the cuff, especially as the show went on and Josh Robert Thompson (Geoff Peterson) grew into a legit sidekick whom Craig could bounce off of. This paired with instances like the OP gave him a reputation of being far more genuine than most of his late-night contemporaries. This also made Craig the best interviewer around, because he would just shoot the shit with his guests with little to no predetermined plugs / talking points. It's kind of wild to me that he has only just now entered the podcast game. His off-the-cuff style is what people like about the most popular podcasts, and he's so polished and experienced talking to high profile guests that I have zero doubt that he could put on a great podcast. He did finally start one this month, but I haven't listened yet. Episodes are pretty short, but the guests so far are Tony Hawk, Gabriel Iglesias, Kathy Lee Gifford and Angela Kinsey. --- *runs out of topic naked* ... Copied to Clipboard! |
