7/10 movie for me. The best parts are the family moments. Unlike Antman 3, Jaime Reyes family actually feels like a family and have great chemistry with each other. I had a blast anytime they were on screen and there was a drastic moment that happens to the family that hits HARD in the feels. And it wasn't only me, everyone in the theater was laughing when the family members bounced off each other. Also weirdly, the CGI in this movie feels fucking solid. Like some of the better CGI's I've seen in a superhero movie yet. I thought it was just me that noticed, but apparently my friends agreed with me as well.

With that said, this movie is to the numbers a typical super hero movie down to its clicheds and everything. Also Susan Sarandon sucked in this movie, which is a real shame because she's an amazing actress. She just didn't have anything to work with other than be the typical saturday morning cartoon villain who's white and racist. Raoul Trujillo was also wasted in this movie as well. Which sucks because at one point in the movie, they start going through his characters backstory and I wish they would just flesh out his character better, but no he's just relegated to a baddie in a machine suit. There was soo much missing potential in this movie to do something different, but it decided to take the safe route.

I had a lot of fun with it though and all of my nephews and niece all loved it and was never bored with it. Go in expecting a good time, but just don't expect anything new.
