I've heard people pitch stuff like "give them shorter rookie deals" or "let them come out of college sooner," but those things would have to be collectively bargained and I don't see the owners going for it since it's just going to cost them money. I'm not sure the NFLPA wants to make exceptions for one position either.

But honestly, there are maybe 10 RBs who are real difference makers and the others are basically interchangeable, so they're kinda stuck.
