If that's the criteria you use for someone being abnormal, then nobody is abnormal. For me, you having a problem with someone proclaiming themselves a genius makes me think you don't function like a normal human being. See how it works?

I really tire of all these armchair psychologists who think they're so skilled at identifying mental illness or issues because they watched House or The Mentalist. People like you make the world a worse place with your bullshit.
It wasn't the fact that he had a huge ego that was the problem tbh. It was the fact that he was a huge jerk to everyone around him on top of it and treated people around him like lessers. Him calling himself a "genius" was just the earliest red flag that I saw that made me feel like he was going to be an issue. I didn't start openly calling him a narcissist until after he left and the damage was done, and I wanted everyone to feel better because he said he left because he "couldn't work with these r******". Better to just accept the fact that his brain was fucked than live in his version of reality where he was just too good for everyone.

I also think professional advice doesn't stray far from the layman learning how to identify toxic people and cut them out.

And it wasn't House, I am a WebMD expert, thank you.
