By and large, by the end of the N64/PS1 era, developers had a good enough handle on camera controls that I wouldn't say aging is really a problem for 3D platformers (outside of graphics, which isn't really specific to 3D platformers). SMG's controls don't really qualify as "dated," so I wouldn't say it's going to have any difficulty aging.

I dunno, the wii mote was super awkward for some of the parts. Like when youre walking and balancing on top of a ball or whatever, and you had to aim the wiimote in a weird direction

sure, its more of a wii / motion control problem but Galaxy was built around that. Its still one of my favorite games though
