Except it is true. Ages has its dungeon difficulty in the puzzles, with one of the first few dungeons barely having any monsters in it at all. Ages also has its overworld feel small because you're weaving back and forth in time throughout, plus a good portion of it is water and islands. Seasons has enemy spam in some areas, such as the Temple of Seasons itself, and each swapped season brings a respawn for them.
