Like it is shockingly competent. My oldest watched that movie roughly 20 times during COVID quarantine and I'd actually say I'm nostalgic for it. This one less so. Like...it isn't terrible. It is sort of replacement level kids animated film to me. The kind of movie they'd watch and I'd watch along for like ten minutes before going on my phone. This was the first time I really watched this one and you know what? It isn't the worst. It isn't good but it isn't like Emoji level egregious. The cast is shockingly good and this is from the era where Jason Sudekis was in everything and was pretty good in the everything he was in.
