Even if you are correct in some extremely literal, insignificant to reality sort of way that slavers obtained "skills" through their enslavement, they are skills they would not need if they were not slaves and for most slaves in the US's history, those skills were used exclusively for the purpose of completing their slave labour to the benefit of nobody but their master.
