Topic | Isn't inflation going up much slower than it was in the past? |
theAteam 07/20/23 11:50:39 AM #6: | It's going up slower in the sense that 5% inflation year-over-year is less than 8% year-over-year but it's still way above where they want it to be which is 2% yoy. The worst monthly increases were around May-June 2022 and so when calculating year-over-year numbers they dropped a bit because those big monthly increases from 12 months ago aren't in the equation anymore. It actually should creep up a little next month as that's just the way the numbers are turning out. We really won't know what direction things are trending towards for a few more months. Which is why it's very tough to control because any actions you take don't see the effects for months. --- Buffalo Bills ... Copied to Clipboard! |
