Modern anime seems to be forever infected by shitty CGI now, so it just depends on if they know where to use it to lessen the impact as much as possible. The manga deserves better than to be marred by trash animation. From the trailer, you can it see a few spots, but the actual animation seems to be well done.I did think some of the compositing effects/explosions looked way overdone in the first teaser https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuUhYOyJn78. But yeah the hand-drawn parts look very good, and that's what's make it or break it for me Trumpo posted... Rated R Astroboy?I wouldn't say it's R-rated, it's not hyper violent or anything. Mostly just a darker tone/mature themes.
