Just watched the latest g witch episode and man, I mirror your sentiments. Caliburn with the witch aesthetic is pretty awesome and that duel did come as a surprise.

Right now I feel a lot like how I felt with fire emblem three houses where the long school phase for some reason lasted way longer than the interesting part it was setting up. They also completely wasted the 3 kingdoms esque setup even more than fire emblem did by having all the factions not actually matter at all.

While I do think Prospera is an interesting villain with understandable and fairly unique motivations, it has nothing to really do with most of the show making it seem like episode 0 and now are the only plot relevant parts of the whole series.
