New gundam witch episode out and it seems my fears of not having much conflict were for nothing although I'm kinda concerned about the pacing. It really seems like they plan to wrap things up in the next 3 episodes. I'm also kind of annoyed at gundam again not really allowing a natural final conflict. It's always gotta have a super power or super weapon that renders piloting skill and numbers irrelevant. This one was at least heavily foreshadowed.
I'm pretty sure it won't happen, but I almost wish we could have a code geass type situation where this just ends the first half and new conflicts build and arise around the use of this new technology with people from different factions changing sides as their interests or morals no longer align. I'm afraid gundam witch is going to end without having a single large scale conflict. Like I think my dream scenario is that suletta manages to synch fully with the new gundam and push her mind into the datastorm as well, defeating prospera and seizing quiet zero but prospera and aerial escape and build up a new force rousing earth anti spacian sentiments in a final multi battle confrontation between earth and space, each side with their own quiet zero (eri and suletta). Miorinne resolves that her hands are already dirty and theres no clean way out of a fight with prospera with Guel doing the protagonist pilot side of the spacians and Lauda joining earthians side to kill Miorinne. To me, that is the 10/10 masterpiece direction for the show, but I'm fairly confident it won't happen and instead it's going to end in 3 episodes without us really getting the payout for a lot of the worldbuilding and character development.
