Essentially you go to some place where you can walk (instead of free fall) between the depths and the overworld, then use multi bows to shoot fused arrows across the transition. They'll just drop dead and you can pick up the tripled material. Keep in mind to not have more than 20 items lying around before you pick it up though. I don't think any dupe glitch will be as easy or convenient as paradupe.
