But even if scum is self targeting, Ulti still should have seen the items being used. Throwing this line of thought into this version of his claim feels like scum ulti is just looking to devil advocate his own claim. As if he's already thought of all the answers, except they all contradict each other.

I'm not just not feeling good on this one. I didn't feel good about lynching Marth (i was right). I dind't feel good about lynching Lea's BG claim (i was right). I don't feel good about Ulti being town.
