Dopamine has dozens of functions in the brain, and even its involvement in reinforcement and prediction error is actively debated in the field.

The "oh, this makes me feel good, dopamine hit!" is so far gone from reality if what dopamine does, it really is used more like a literary metaphor for "this thing makes me feel good" in an age where sciency terminology has become hip. Dopamine is actually not involved in the good feeling that one gets after taking drugs like cocaine and heroin!
