guessing you have to wait some time for it to charge, no?

https://www.ridester.com/citi-bike-electric-bikes/#:~:text=Citi%20Bike%20electric%20bikes%20do,charge%20on%20the%20docking%20station.
Citi Bike electric bikes do not charge on the docking station.
Instead, employees physically disconnect them from the dock to charge them somewhere else.
The company will likely release updates that will allow Citi Bikes to charge on the docking station.
Some electric bikes will charge themselves as you pedal, but Citi Bike electric bikes do not have this feature.
Citi Bike electric bikes take approximately 7 hours to completely recharge from empty.
It takes around 3 hours to reach an 80 percent capacity.

I tried to find a more official site but it seems impossible right now since pretty much every google search containing 'citi e-bike' just brings up this story >_>
