Babylon Fall is low hanging fruit, though. There's a difference between Platinum phoning it in turning out a turd like they have often done, and Platinum putting out a middling product for their leading franchise.

Typically Platinum's A-game is best in class. Even when I don't like a game, like Astral Chain, it's still quite clear to me it's firing on all cylinders.

The last time I really felt that Platinum shine was Nier, though that still wasn't ALL there in the combat and I give most of the credit to people outside of Platinum, so I guess it's...whichever came first between Bayo 2 and Revengeance, either way almost a decade ago I think.
